The governor's latest health orders do allow for a 25% capacity or no more than 75 people in the church for Mass. Archbishop Wester has left it up to the pastors if churches should be opened for worship.
So starting, Monday, November 16th we here at the Aquinas Newman Center will open our doors for public Mass once again. So here is how we are going to handle Sundays:
On Saturday, November 21st we will have a 4:30pm Mass and on Sunday, November 22nd Mass will once again be at 9:00, 10:00 and 11:00am.
Please note: you do have to register just like we had been doing in order to come to Mass since we cannot take more than 75 people which happens to be 25% of our church capacity. Go to our web page to register. Of course for those who are still having to watch Mass from home for a variety of reasons, we will be live-streaming every Mass as well as posting the Masses through LoboCatholic.org or our Facebook page in order for you to still be able to make a spiritual communion.
Here is the new weekday Mass and confession schedule:
Monday, Wednesday and Friday: Mass is at 7:00am with 7:30am confessions
Tuesday and Thursday: Mass is at 5:15pm with confession from 4:00 to 5:00pm
Saturday: Mass is at 8:30am with confession from 2:30 to 4:00pm
Additional devotions: Holy Hour: Monday from 4:30 to 5:30pm
Please note: you do not have to register for the weekday Masses unless we explode and start getting close to the 75 person limit. For the time being there will be no Monday evening Mass at 5:15 and note the change in Saturday's confession schedule now starting at 2:30 but finishing up at 4:00pm.
Keep in mind that if conditions worsen that the governor and/or the Archbishop could once again suspend public Masses, so let us thank God that we do have this current opportunity.
As always, practice social distancing, please make sure that you are wearing your masks and if you have any symptoms or are not feeling totally healthy, then it's not a problem to stay home as the dispensation of missing Mass is still in effect from the Archbishop.
