“May theskdjhfh of hope fill you with all joy and peace in your faith, so that in the power of the Holy Spirit you may be rich in hope.” – Romans 15:13
As we prepare for the start of Lent which begins this Wednesday here are a couple of things to keep in mind. First of all, we will be having three Masses on Ash Wednesday, 6:30am, 12:10pm and 5:30pm. But since we are now limited to 33% capacity in the church, and since I can only say three Masses in a day, we will also be having a Liturgy of the Word with the distribution of ashes at 8:00am. Now if we get a great demand, since you all have to register first before coming to one of the Masses or the Word Service, I will strongly consider adding another Liturgy of the Word. So check in with
LoboCatholic.org to see how things play out, but it could very well be that the four services will be sufficient.
Also, and this is something that I definitely encourage all of my parishioners and those who visit us to do for this Lenten season, but in this year dedicated to St. Joseph, we will be offering a 30 day consecration to St. Joseph with will end on his feast day, March 19th. That means that the consecration starts on Ash Wednesday. We will be using the series, "The School of Nazareth" which is offered through
Formed.org. Instructions on how to access the consecration can be found on
LoboCatholic.org. It's fairly easy to access and it will be a great way for all of us to be united in our dedication to St. Joseph and to ask for his intercession for continued blessings upon our parish. So may our Lord Jesus bless all of you with a great and focused start to Lent and may we continue to pray that we can all get back together soon in the fullness of community and of worship.
